Advisory Boards & Committees

Village advisory boards and committees provide recommendations, technical input, and community perspective to support the work of the Village Board of Trustees and Village staff.

These groups assist with the review of policies, projects, programs, and long-range planning efforts related to housing, parks, recreation, public art, infrastructure, sustainability, public safety, economic development, and other community initiatives.

Advisory boards and committees help strengthen local government by encouraging public participation and providing opportunities for residents and community members to contribute their experience, expertise, and input.

Most advisory boards and committees are appointed by the Mayor with approval of the Village Board of Trustees and operate in an advisory capacity.
