Skatepark

The Skatepark is a professionally designed, 5,000-square-foot concrete skatepark located in the center of the Village. The facility was developed through strong community support and collaboration between local skaters, volunteers, and the Village of Saranac Lake.

The project received a nationally competitive grant award from the Tony Hawk Foundation, which recognized the Village’s commitment to creating a high-quality public skatepark accessible to residents and visitors alike.

The park includes a combination of street and flow-style features designed to accommodate a variety of skill levels and riding styles.

Features include:

  • Concrete street and flow elements
  • Open skating and riding areas
  • Lighting for evening use
  • Public seating and gathering space

Hours

The skatepark is lighted and open:

  • Monday–Thursday: until 9:30 PM
  • Friday & Sunday: until 10:00 PM
  • Saturday: until 11:00 PM

The Skatepark is maintained by the Village of Saranac Lake as part of the Village’s public recreation system.

Saranac Lake is home to a variety of public spaces, recreational facilities, waterfront areas, and community landmarks that contribute to the character and identity of the Village.

The Village Gems section highlights destinations and public assets that support recreation, tourism, community events, outdoor activity, and quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

These spaces reflect the Village’s Adirondack setting, history, and ongoing investment in public infrastructure and community amenities.
