Fire Truck Parade

The festivities kick off at 6:00 pm as area fire departments gather for a spectacular Lighted Fire Truck Parade through the heart of Saranac Lake. The parade route runs from Broadway to Main Street, offering perfect viewing opportunities for spectators throughout downtown.

Fire trucks adorned with bright lights and festive decorations will process through the village streets, escorting their very special passenger - Santa!

This dazzling display of community pride and holiday spirit offers the perfect opportunity to grab your family, bundle up, and line the streets to witness this illuminated procession.

Tree Lighting

Following the parade, head to Berkeley Green at 6:30 pm, where the celebration continues with the annual tree lighting ceremony. Santa will do the honors of illuminating the community Christmas tree, officially ushering in the holiday season for Saranac Lake.

But the magic doesn't stop there - attendees can warm up by the bonfire while enjoying complimentary cookies and hot cocoa. Join your neighbors in a festive holiday sing-along, creating memories and spreading cheer. This cherished tradition brings the community together in a spirit of joy and togetherness that defines small-town celebrations.

Visit Santa

From 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Santa will be stationed at the library, welcoming children of all ages for personal visits. Kids can share their holiday wish lists, tell Santa about their year, and capture the moment with a photo opportunity.
