Franklin County COVID-19 Update: March 27

Franklin County Public Health Services has been notified of a third case of Covid 19 in Franklin County.
Risk assessment and contact tracing is initiated.
No information is being released due to patient privacy laws.
The Public Health Department is strongly recommending residents to stay home. The recommendation continues to be no unnecessary travel, avoid group gatherings, and avoid contact with other people. If essential travel is required {i.e.) work, groceries, and/or medical needs, social distancing must be practiced. When it is necessary to travel, you must practice 6 feet distancing from another person.
Franklin County Public Health Director Kathleen Strack reminds people that non-essential gatherings at approved businesses such as restaurants and convenience stores should practice social distancing and that they honor the six foot distance between people. The department is also recommending that one family member go to the stores and restaurants to pick up necessary items.
