Winter Parking Ban

The Village of Saranac Lake maintains a seasonal overnight parking ban to support snow removal operations and winter street maintenance.

All vehicles must be parked off Village streets between:

2 AM – 6 AM  / November 15th - April 15th

Vehicles found in violation may be:

• Ticketed
• Towed at the owner’s expense

These regulations help ensure streets can be safely and effectively plowed during winter weather events.

The parking ban is enforced in accordance with: Village Law § 276-4 Parking

The only municipal parking lot that allows overnight parking during the ban is the Dorsey Street lot. For a complete parking map click here.
