This is an informational session to educate anyone that is interested. According to the NYS DEC’s website, "starting March 1st, 2020, all plastic carry out bags (other than an exempt bag) are banned from distribution by anyone required to collect New York State sales tax." This may change your personal shopping habits and have an effect on some Saranac Lake businesses. Thank you to The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce for putting together an informational session, in partnership with the NYS DEC and the Adirondack Tri-Lakes Chapter of 350.org.
