COVID-19 UPDATE 
 

Malone, NY – Franklin County Public Health and Franklin County Emergency Operation Center report that as of this release there are a total of 12 individuals with confirmed tests for COVID-19 in Franklin County. There are an additional 67 individuals that are “suspect” (a confirmed primary contact with a known positive individual or an individual that is exhibiting the signs and symptoms of COVID-19) and a total of 123 individuals are currently quarantined. 262 people have tested negative. New York PAUSE has been extended. The Current “Stay at Home and Social Distancing” recommendations will stay in place at least until May 15, 2020. In addition people must wear a face covering/mask when out in public and are unable to social distance and when riding public transportation and private transportation carriers or for-hire vehicles. The operators of those transportation vehicles must also wear a face covering. The United Way of the Adirondack Region is accepting donations of masks and distributing masks to essential personnel.  For more information please call 518-563-0028.
 

The Franklin County Emergency Services COVID-19 Call Center has experienced a reduction in the call volume over the past several weeks. The hotline hours of operation are being reduced to help alleviate resources and still provide information and assistance to anyone that might need it. The new hours of operation for the COVID-19 Call Center are Monday – Saturday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Anyone seeking information regarding COVID-19, inquiring about services provided or wishing to volunteer is asked to contact 518-481-1111 during the days and times listed. Anyone needing emergency assistance should contact 911.
