Public comment can be communicated during the public comment period. For individuals who wish to address the Village Board of Trustees during public comment, but are unable to enter thr auditorium due to seating capacity, written comments will be accepted via email or paper copies. The meetings are run with a public comment period, which gives anyone the opportunity to address the board. Individual public comment is limited to 5 minutes and may be shortened by the meeting chairperson. The Village Board Meetings work to address routine business, and special board action items. A public hearing is meant to encourage resident comment and the expression of opinion, not a direct debate, nor should a commentator be intimidated by a village board rebuttal.
